Terms of Service
Last updated October 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to the StickHits web application and website (“StickHits”, the “Service”), operated by the operator of StickHits (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Contact: info@stickhits.com.
1. The Service
StickHits is an online drum practice tool. It offers play-along material (grooves, fills, chops, rudiments, warm-ups and songs) with notation, a metronome and audio, together with progress tracking, rewards (“Stick Hits”, titles and badges) and challenges. You use it in a web browser; you need an internet connection, a current browser and a device that can play audio.
We keep improving StickHits, so material and features may be added, changed or removed over time. We will not remove features that are a core part of a paid Premium subscription during a period you have already paid for.
2. Your account
- You may browse without an account. Playing along and saving progress requires a free account.
- You must give a valid email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed it.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are younger, a parent or legal guardian must create the account or agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchase.
- Usernames, display names and other details you choose must not be offensive, misleading, infringe anyone’s rights or impersonate another person. We may change or remove names that break this rule.
- One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
3. Free and Premium
Free accounts include the material and features described on the Premium page as free, currently all Beginner material and selected samples from higher levels. Free accounts may see advertising.
Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks the whole library, full songs with recordings, the weekly challenges and an ad-free experience. The current plans, prices and billing periods are shown on the Premium page and at checkout before you pay.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown at checkout in the currency stated there and are the total amount you pay for the billing period.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card or payment details are entered with Stripe and are not stored by us. Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to the payment.
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as chosen) and the price of the next period is charged to the same payment method, until you cancel.
- If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the change applies to you. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice; you can cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, Premium may be paused until the payment succeeds. Your progress is kept.
5. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in Account → Membership, or by writing to us. Cancelling stops future renewals; Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your account, progress, Stick Hits and badges remain, and you can return to Free or subscribe again later.
6. Right of withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 days of the day it is concluded, without giving a reason. To withdraw, send us a clear statement (for example an email to info@stickhits.com saying that you withdraw from your StickHits subscription).
Because Premium gives you access straight away, the law allows us to keep a proportionate amount for the days you could use it. We do not do that: if you withdraw within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, we refund that payment in full, using the same payment method, within 14 days of receiving your request. Premium then ends.
Outside that period, payments for periods that have started are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or the Service has not worked as described (see section 9).
7. Using StickHits fairly
You may use StickHits for your own practice and teaching. You may not:
- copy, download, record, resell or redistribute the material, notation, audio or recordings, or make them available outside StickHits;
- use bots, scripts or other tools to scrape the Service, to earn Stick Hits or to complete challenges automatically;
- try to get around Premium restrictions, security measures or the daily limits;
- interfere with the Service, overload it, or access it in ways other than through the interfaces we provide;
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
Teachers may show StickHits in lessons; each student who plays along needs their own account.
8. Content and intellectual property
The StickHits name and logo, the app, the arrangements, notation, texts, images and recordings in it are protected by copyright and other rights and belong to us or to those who license them to us. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them within the Service while your account is active. No other rights are transferred to you.
Ideas and suggestions you send us may be used to improve StickHits without any obligation to you.
9. If something does not work
We work to keep StickHits available and accurate, but like any online service it may sometimes be unavailable (for example during maintenance) or contain mistakes. If the Service, or Premium in particular, does not work as described, tell us at info@stickhits.com. Consumers have the legal rights that apply to digital content and services in their country (in the EU, under the Digital Content Directive as implemented locally): we will fix the problem within a reasonable time, and if we cannot, you may be entitled to a price reduction or to end the contract and receive a refund for the affected period. Complaints are answered within 14 days.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses that were not foreseeable, and our total liability to you in connection with the Service in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period (or EUR 50 if that is more).
Look after your hearing and your body. Drums are loud. Use hearing protection, keep headphone volume reasonable, warm up, take breaks and stop if you feel pain.
11. Suspending or closing accounts
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, after a warning where reasonable. If we close a paid account without such a reason, we refund the unused part of the current period.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. For important changes we will give registered users at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app. If you do not agree with the changes, you can cancel before they take effect; continuing to use StickHits after that means you accept them. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. We will always try to resolve a complaint with you directly first — write to info@stickhits.com. Consumers in Poland may also use out-of-court dispute resolution, for example through the regional consumer ombudsman (miejski lub powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów) or the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa).
